1V1 boosting in MW2 is very simple. You can easily go into a 3rd person cage match and within a minute, find a complete stranger who wants to rank up. When doing a 1 on 1 boost, you can easily rack up thousands of points by the end and unlock, upgrade, and even rank up while helping the other do the same. I have ended some games with 15,000 points and that does not even cover the bonus points i get in the game.

Here, i will write some tips and guides on good ways to boost with another. If you have others that have worked for you, please leave a comment.

This is the best combo for boosting in general for all games…

You need a riot shield, RPD (light machine gun), and One man Army

1. get your friend and you need to set up 2 classes.

2. 1 class with riot shield and one man army and the other class with rpd and one man army.

3. start in 3rd person cage match

4. meet somewhere, one person loads out with rpd and the other with riot shield.

5.Fire the rpd at the riot shield until the first clip is empty…. after go to step 6. (you dont want to empty the gun out because after the first clip, you dont get as many points with the riot shield.)

6. switch to one man army and then switch to your opposite class.

7. Repeat 5-7

RIOT SHIELD + SENTRY GUN

YOU need riot shield and sentry gun… get your friend and join the 3rd person cage match

1. Enemy starts out with riot shield, you get light machine gun.

2. Lay Tactical insertion down and kill him till you get a sentry gun.

3. Enemy stands somewhere and you place the sentry gun in front of him. (make sure that he respawns behind the gun)

4. when the sentry guns starts shooting, you shoot at his riot shield.

(at first he will get 100 points for deflecting bullets till he gets about 500-600, then the points get less….)

5. when the sentry gun is taking a break, kill him and he will respawn with a new riot shield….

6. lay down TI and then walk in front of sentry gun again. (you can usually do this 2 or 3 times if your fast… before the gun breaks)

7. repeat with eachother!

BASIC CAGE MATCH BOOSTING

This is a basic 1v1 boosting for Modern Warfare 2. Grab your friend in a party, get your weapons, and start a 3rd person cage match.

1. meet at any location, usually outside near a building for cover (in case one gets a helicopter).

2. lay down tactical insertion

3. take turns killing eachother… about 5 kills per person. (make use of killstreaks)

4. make sure both of you have 19 kills and decide who gets the last.

Nothing makes this official, and it has been posted in better form about 20 times.

IM just getting into the boosting myself and just putting in my 2 cents... i also use the dual p90's


and the sniper longshots a good idea....

the only things about the dual p90's is that it only works if you are planning on killing eachother after you run out of ammo...

even if one had an rpd and dual p90, its not worth it.

Best to use that second slot for ONE man army and use rpd or whatever to hit his shield.

Another one i like is getting a sentry gun and then while the sentry is hitting your friends shield, you shoot him with rpd or dual p90's and he will get a little more points. and then kill him and he can do that about 3 times before the gun breaks down.
