This works for all regions

Info
I have seen threads where you use 'PS3 Proxy' to block the SSL connection from the Patch server. I guess it works but it wont be as efficient as my method. My method still uses a proxy, but it does things diffrently creating a simpler and easyer process. This should be able to block patches for ALL games. But i created it around Modern Warfare 2.

Why Release?
This tool was a request from one of my other threads. So i decided to make it.

What is this?
What ever you want it to be .

How To Use
1. Enter your PS3's Network settings, Leave EVERYTHING appart from the option where it ask's for a Proxy Server. Press X on 'Use Proxy' and enter the IP my program shows and the port. (You can change the port)
2. Click [START] on my program.
3. You should be at the point where your PS3 wants you to Test the Connection. Do It! The Test should be successful.
4. Delete the patch you want to block, [Game Data] (e.g: Modern Warfare 1.07)
5. Load up the game and you shouldn't be asked to update.

Doesnt Work? Try This
You must login or register to view this content.

Open up CMD, type in 'ipconfig' without the quotes (as seen above).
In the screenshot i have put a red rectangle around an IP '192.168.0.13'. On your screen it will be diffrent. So instead of using the IP my program tells you, Use the IP YOU SEE in CMD after typing in 'ipconfig'. Also, try changing the port in the program and use that port in the PS3 proxy settings too.

If you get signed-out just sign back in.

Simple!

First you need to calm down, I know how frustrating it is trying to get it to work but eventually you will get it working.

Secondly make sure when you are editing your Ps3's Network. It has the same port as the proxy on the computer. Most proxies for gaming and stuff like this is 8080 but if that port is being used by something else then this won't work.
So find an open port and make sure the same are on your Ps3 as your Pc.
Once you have done that have the i.p of your computer put correctly on your Ps3 and you computer. Everybody has a different i.p so make sure you have the right one.
Also start the proxy first because if you don't your Ps3 will be trying to connect to something which isn't there.
Then you should get a connection.

If signing in didn't work the first time then try it again that worked for me.

Hope this helps!

lol i finally got it like 2 hours ago i don't know why but when i unplugged my other computer from my Ethernet router it started working that kind of got me confused so if i have to computers connected to the entherent router it seems to stop working but when theirs only one it works perfectly that was weird is there something i should know about this and how do i know which port use if the 8080 port does not work?

Your port 8080 probably does work it's just that your other computer or even the computer your on is using it for something else.
It is a bit complicated if you don't know what you are doing and can be dangerous(If you have a firewall then it won't be dangerous(If you didn't know what a firewall is it is a program on your computer which stops people getting in open ports.))
Just search for port forwarding and find a tutorial.
I think there is one on the forums here.
Oh well hope this helps.

Do a barrel roll!
I need UK uncorrupt files for this to work for me. :( If I had those I'd have done this when it was first released.
