I have seen threads where you use 'PS3 Proxy' to block the SSL connection from the Patch server. I guess it works but it wont be as efficient as my method. My method still uses a proxy, but it does things diffrently creating a simpler and easyer process. This should be able to block patches for ALL games. But i created it around Modern Warfare 2.
Why Release?
This tool was a request from one of my other threads. So i decided to make it.

How To Use
1. Enter your PS3's Network settings, Leave EVERYTHING appart from the option where it ask's for a Proxy Server. Press X on 'Use Proxy' and enter the IP my program shows and the port. (You can change the port)
2. Click [START] on my program.
3. You should be at the point where your PS3 wants you to Test the Connection. Do It! The Test should be successful.
4. Delete the patch you want to block, [Game Data] (e.g: Modern Warfare 1.07)
5. Load up the game and you shouldn't be asked to update.

Open up CMD, type in 'ipconfig' without the quotes (as seen above).
In the screenshot i have put a red rectangle around an IP '192.168.0.13'. On your screen it will be diffrent. So instead of using the IP my program tells you, Use the IP YOU SEE in CMD after typing in 'ipconfig'. Also, try changing the port in the program and use that port in the PS3 proxy settings too.
If you get signed-out just sign back in.

i used the program and it worked fine for me to get so i have 10th prestige, now that it is done tho i'm having a VERY annoying problem related to the patch blocker. After using the patch blocker, my ps3 now blocks ALL patches reguardless of what game is put in, even if the patch is already installed, it does not load the patch with the game, so as soon as i launch the game within 30seconds i get signed out.
I did change my ps3 back to not use proxy and closed the application on my PC and restarted it but the problem still remains. I even switched my ps3 hard drive to an old 1 had and reformatted it and the problem still occurs, the game launches but does not check for a patch. After a some digging i found a work around by going into network settings, and manuary DNS setting and entering Primary 8.8.8.8 Secondly 8.8.4.4 this is google public DNS. With that setup the PS3 will check for the patches and i won't get signed out once i launch a game.
I have a basic understanding of networking and i'm guessing that some how my router is now blocking the ports, if someone could tell me what exactly to look for, like port number or what is actually happening cause i'm really not sure whats going on it would help, My router is a Netgear WNDR3700 and if your wondering i did also restart my router but it did not help.
