Mod your gamertag, you need a transfer cable/decide like an Xport/Xsata. Look it up on youtube "How to mod gamertag MW2" there is a bunch of videos.

But the gamertag was normal, just what was on cod. Btw, would I get banned for that thing u sed before?

thats funny, just made new modtag and used it less than 20 mins ago. oh well, must of been the bud.

I saw somebody get disconnected from my game about 10 mins ago, and they had the mod working. This is USA though, not Europe.

Banned, I highly doubt it because you're only modding what your gamertag looks like on MW2, you aren't actually modding your gamertag, so I don't think Microsoft could tell that you modded it. I got reported a lot, but I stopped doing it because it really screws with your stats. My multiplayer % was stuck at 291% and my Spec-ops, Campaign %, and gamerscore would reset to 0 if I went on multiplayer. I had to shut off my xbox or sign out for it to return only for it to happen again. It would happen even if I didn't use the modded name.

To prevent this all you have to do is backup your account before you do the gamertag mod, then after you decide not to use it anymore/it gets patched, just replace your xbox account with the backup you made and stuff wont reset to 0 anymore. Also I wouldn't do any campaign, specops, or play another game that you would lose progress on because putting in the backup will erase it all. It DOES NOT set your MW2 rank back though that downloads from the IW server so thats safe.
