Here is a breif oversite of what each of the following do:
Attack helicopter(7 kill streak)
stays out almost twice as long then the harrior, but only fires its guns.Flys around the whole map.Can be killed in 1 hit has no counter measures(can rocket dodge)
Harrior strike(7 kill streak)
Sends two planes to bomb the target first, then a third plane comes in and hovers around that spot and starts to move a little bit.Its guns are alot more accurate then the attack helicopter.Does not stay as long as the attack helicopter.SOMETIMES very rare it can dodge multiple missiles for some reason(does not deploy counter measures)This might be a bug or a rare intentional Attack of it.Can be blown up in 1 hit with the stinger or around 90 bullets of a rpd(even if you weaken it with a at4 still uses alot of bullets of non stopping power pro)
Ac130(11 killstreak)-has 2 sets of counter measurers.It is the weakest of all air support meaning that if you do score a hit anything will blow it up even the at4.It is possible to shoot down the ac130 in 1 hit if you have a teammate fire a at4 or stinger at it first and fast.Bullets can not reach it.Has 3 cannons 25mm guns, 40mm explosive cannons, 105mm explosive rounds.It leaves when there is 3 seconds on its count down timer.All of its guns need to be reloaded. stays for 45seconds
Chopper gunner(11 killstreak)-Infinity 25mm guns.Stays for around a minute.Has 1 set of counter measurers.Just like the harrior can rarely "dodge" (read more about dodging rockets below)rockets.Can shoot through some surfaces.User controled.You can kill yourself with the chopper gunner if you aim its guns at you.Takes a total of 3 at4 rockets to blow it up, or 2 stinger missiles(including counter measure deactivation)
Rocket dodging-When i first started playing i noticed that sometimes when i would fire a rocket that is locked on it would just fly past the harrior or w/e i was shooting at, with no visable counter measures being deployed.At first i thought maybee it was just the rocket perhaps bounching off a building or something, but last week someone called in a harrior and i fired 2 stinger missiles at it, and my teamate fired a javelin rocket at it.For someone reason both the stinger missiles went about 8inches beside it and the javelin rocket deflected away from it.After a conversation with my friend he told me that he thinks that all airsupport has a very small chance of dodging these rockets somehow calcuated randomly.Seems to make sence as i watched alot of my rockets just wiz right past the harrior in perhaps the most open map(wasteland) so I concluded that all airsupport can sometimes dodge rockets.(so far i have visabley confirmed, harrior, chopper gunner and ac130 all 'dodging" rockets with out counter measures being deployed)
Host migration-when you get a chopper gunner or ac130 and the host leaves you will not loose your time remaining even thou the ac130's countdown timer will still countdown it will still be the same time before the host left.So if a host leaves you will still get the same amount of time.this is confirmed for all airsupport.
Giving this information what do you guys think are the best kill streaks?
CGs get more kills in general but get shot down too easily, so AC-130s all the way. They're also fun on terminal spawn-locking a team of 9 at A then firing a huge missile their way
