I'm sick of getting $#%ing hit markers with the sniper rifles... Like really? My .50cal should render your limbs from your body, not just hurt you as you knife me from 13feet away, honestly how is that realistic...

The sniper rifles are so unbelievably underpowered and I think they did it on purpose so that MW2 didn't turn into "Call of duty 4 Part 2 : Everyone Thinks they are Grizz" . But they went about it the wrong way.

Lets look at this for a minute. Who made COD4 sniping famous? zzirGrizz and a HANDFUL of others (I'll mention the DRFT Clan in passing). NOW there are 1000's of people releasing montages. 95% are crap but still.

COD4 only stayed popular and as played as it was for sniping, yeah yeah flame me all you want but go play it today.

Just go play 5 full games of domination on each game (mw2 and cod4) not including yourself, count how many people on each team are using a sniper.

Now that you've seen that on average you got 4-5 snipers per game in cod4 and like 2 on MW2 take into consideration , what are people going to do when they get 2 good and thus bored with the AR's and the SMG's and all that over powered crap?
Are they going to snipe? NO because you can't ****ing kill anything with the sniper rifles. What are they going to do?
Simple they are going to go get some fresh air OR Play COD4.

You want to make it so this doesn't turn into a sniper game again? Then why the **** did you make slight of hand pro give faster ADS? Like are you retarded IW? Way to ruin quick scoping as we effectively knew it! But wait ! IT was already ruined by your poosy ass sniper rifles!

ALL the sniper rifles are apparently the same*weak ass* damage (**** that the wa2000 and the EBR suxzor my nutzors).
Here is a comparison to show damage over time.
The biggest gun you can think of carrying compared to the smallest SMG.


Barret .50cal VS Mini Uzi

.50 dmg = 70 Chest multiplier = 1.5
Mini dmg = 30 Chest multiplier = 1.4

So are you telling me that a 9mm round almost half as powerful as a .50cal round!?!?

I'm not gonna waste the time and do all the math but damage over time, factoring in rate of fire and mag capacity (w.out attachments and such) the mini uzi will probably dish out about 4x the damage as the .50cal in a 5 second span.
THAT'S REDICULACE. Its a ****ing .50 cal. For those of you who don't understand the true devistation of what a .50cal SHOULD be , go look it up on youtube.



Anyways this has been my rant, it was triggered by my complete and udder disdain for this game as of late.

I was honestly playing a game of domination on estate last night and I stood up mid game, walked over to my PS3 and turned it off.
I wasn't loosing, I wasn't negative in my KD. I was and am just tired of this game and its 100's of unfixable flaws.

i have np using one bullet in my sniper...i mean up close it doesnt always kill them but usually they have pain killer...

Its not just me though, there are plenty who sympathies with me in this thread. I'll start making some vids.

Barret .50cal I can understand that it doesn't always 1 hit, and this game is unrealistic I know.

Intervention though, bloody hell it's a bolt action man it should 1 hit without fail. I have stopping power on mine and often FMJ and it hardly ever 1 hits.

I completely understand your frustration about the .50 cal. One hit should take them down even a shot to the shin would take the bottom of the leg off. However if you're looking for realism, perhaps psn or xbl aren't the places to look.

Lets be honest here if I shoot you in the shin with a .45 pistol, barring the use of pcp or something else you're going down when it shatters the bone as well. This is a game, if it was a simulation based on reality you would have a basis for your complaints. I must assume (or at least hope) everyone knew what they were buying.

Personally I don't snipe much, when I have I have gotten what I consider a fair amount of one shot kills. As a sniper you should be picking your shots (this is why on a real sniper squad the spotters are generally the better snipers) all I'm saying is if you want one shot kills let the guy in a full sprint at least slow down before firing.

For realism go deer hunting or better yet, go to the recruiters office and sign up. (you will not find basic training or God forbid actual combat at all entertaining) In the end remember it's a game, men and women have and continue to experience the real thing so you can sit at home in relative safety and play it.

If you don't want hit markers, shoot them in the head. You want realism, so you complain about not killing in one shot, yet you want to quick scope? Hypocrisy, my friend. Quick scoping is in no way realistic. How often do you see some dude running around in the middle of a firefight with a .50 cal sniper, bobbing and weaving and without aiming, popping off shots? Never. There is no realistic sniping on MW2. You would need a spotter, and you would be 1000 yards away from your opponent. And since no map on MW2 is even close to 1000 yards, there is no realistic sniping. So stop complaining.
