(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Okay so yesterday I just got off my PS3 from playing MW2 and then I went back on later and BAM, the YLOD. So my brother tried cleaning it out and still never worked so he looked for people online that would fix it and today we found a guy in the same area as us. When my brother spoke to this guy, (he's an expert with PS3's) he said that the cause of the YLOD was MW2 because the processor of the PS3 cannot handle the game being on for too long. He said other CoD's can be left on like 2 days at a time. So by tomorrow I will have my PS3 back and my brother is also gonna buy cooling fans.

This is just a warning to you guys, do not play MW2 hours on end and leave it on overnight or whilst you aren't even playing it (like I did.)

EDIT: And woah, this post just got me 100k vbux.

I'm not talking about the PS3 in general, I'm talking about the game. It can overheat the PS3 alot. My brother spoke to a guy working with fixing PS3's for a really long time and he said it uses up alot of the processor. Now when I get my PS3 back tomorrow I'll be sure to turn it off when it's not in use. It's hell without MW2.

Yeh its because the PS3/Xbox has alot to handle with this game.
Dont overload it, Like while the game is loading try and send a message.

or keep going in and out off game searching really fast.

O yeh and if your looking for a fan to keep your PS3 cool DO NOT buy a side fan...
The fan that goes onto the side of your ps3 does NOTHING !!!!

you need a fan that goes onto the back.
Or if you look on Ebay you will see an updated ps3 fan.
That cool's the PS3 down ALOT MORE !

Trust me i know what im talking about i have fixed many YLOD PS3's.

Hope this helped.

Yes as long as its facing the back of the fan.
Opisite side of the Main power off switch.

The one's you can buy from shops that goes on the side do nothing.

But iv just got a new one a internal one from ebay that runs faster than the standard.
