maybe you have too slow a connection
a proxy slows down you internet connection so maybe its too slow for your ps3 to use

Yeaa i guess. But its connected to a router, along with 2 ps3, 2 psp, 2 pcs, and a laptop, is that y?

you have to have the proxy on for it to work if you turn the proxy on before you test the connection then it should work thats what happened with me

don't worry i had the same prob. One thing is if u are on a secure network like it has a password u have to make it with out a password because the firewall will not allow the proxy to encrypt the proper materials Thank if i helped!

I tried this but still failed when connecting to internet anyone know how I can fix this problem? I put the IP right on the ps3 but yet the ps3 fails
