The ONLY reason you should be receiving thanks or rep for posting a video is if its your own or if someone requested one and couldn't find it so you found it for them.

Competition is always a good and welcome thing, it brings out the best (and worst) in people and gives great insight into who a person truly is.

The problem with some of the people on this sight is they abuse the system.

Rep , in my opinion, was put on this site to determine the credibility of someones post and to show the contributions they have made to the site.

Not for kids to come on here and rep each other back and forth. Its similar to boosting on COD. I have no respect for a person on the leader boards with a 55.03 kill death ratio as thats clearly a fake. The difference is how can we distinguish who is real and fake on here.
Maybe I click a guys link because the rep says hes credible just to find out I just clicked a virus and now I gotta format my computer *user risk I know*, all because him and his a-hole friends were repping eachothers posts back and forth.

I've made countless threads like this. Each time I'm told it's ok to do by mods. It's pointless to complain, staff and the people asking won't stop it.

Here is a guy who knows whats up. Retired Mod, Canadian (high 5) and twice as much rep as posts.

Not all rep whores ask and beg for rep

On another note, this will never stop happening. Even if this thread were stuck people won't listen to it. I would close it but it looks like its popular and I don't want to be hated so I will see how it ends up. If there is any flaming, this WILL be closed immediately.

I love getting rep'd but I love getting it through posts that people appreciate , hell, I have a thread on this board that's #5 or #6 for TOTW and its not helpful at all lol. Its just one of my "rants" that people seem to relate with and enjoy reading / debating.

Contributions don't always have to come in the form of a new glitch, hiding spot or hack.

They just have to be something that appeals to the community and that's what I'm trying to do. I could never be a mod on this site because I am 2 outspoken.

I can relate to a lot of the members on here and I think , even though some times harshly, I can bring issues to the table in a manner that people will appreciate rather than just hate on (even though there will always be haters).

Example : This post. Instead of doing what the average Joe would do and posting "hey a-holes stop begging for rep" , I posted something that people may enjoy reading , and even if they don't' agree I left room for debate thus creating activity on the forum.

I like to contribute, even if sometimes my contributions bring about debate and argument.

Either way thanks for leaving it open. I'm sure it will get flamed but I don't believe it will get out of hand.
