So how would i get back without having to do it all agian was even past falvea and just past the place with burger town etc.

You can't go back to a check point only a mission.

So since i saved it there i wont be able to complete game on vertern? to get challenges?

Yeah you'll be able to get it. All you have to do is go to the start of the mission and continue from there.

Start of what mission?

*Sigh* Instead of going "Resume" click "Mission Select" and choose the mission you were up to, and select veteran difficulty.

By the way, I've finished campaign on Veteran and I can honestly say the hardest part is the mission where Price launches the missile from the submarine.
