Try that, open up Firefox/Ie. The Bookmark Image (the website's default .ico) gets replaced by Firefox's blank-page ico. Google .ico if you don't know what that is, kinda hard to explain personally ]= .
Try it with the JS posted earlier.
How is it hard to explain? It's the image displayed when viewing a page that adds distinction, also called the favicon.
Also, it doesn't do replace for me.
