I gotta go with Vector. Although I think all the machine guns got worse from COD4 to MW2, Vector works the best for me.

I hate to say it, but I like the UMP merely because I do well with it. Personally, when I first purchased the game, I was expecting the MP5K to be my favorite weapon, considering the MP5 and MP40 were my favorite weapons in previous Call of Duty titles. However, this time around, I'm not getting the same results with the MP5K as I had in the past. I find on smaller maps, the weapon works great, however, when it comes to enemies at medium to long range, getting shots on the enemy really is a game of chance. Preferably, I like to aim and fire when I kill an enemy. When using the MP5K, I found myself being forced to spray fire. Even then my results were not always promising.

This time around, it would seem as if the UMP45 is my preferable sub-machine gun.

I must admit I prefer the MP5K, probably because I used to use it all the time in COD4, think I need to give the UMP45 a go though!!!

EXACTLY the same case with me,I know what you mean and I'm disappointed with the MP5K,it's ruined the 'MP' name

ump45, seems to be the most consistant sub machine gun. Good for just about everything

the ump45 is the successor to the MP5, so moving from the mp5 in cod4 and the mp40 in waw to the ump45 is exactly what you'd expect.

the mp5k is just a modified mp5 especially for close range.

either way i like all submachine guns except the vector, split 50/50 between the uzi and ump for favourite.
