(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); When I first started play HC on MW2 I noticed the obvious changes such as the +100 not popping up when you kill someone but I noticed that a box would pop up saying "You Killed ----" and it would show their callsign (i.e. their title, emblem, name and all that stuff). However recently I noticed that box isn't popping up any more. It was rather helpful so that I no that I had killed someone as I like to do long distance with full-auto weapons and telling whether or not a target is dead or in last/final stand can be difficult.

Does anyone one if this a preference that you can set that got turned off some how or a level based thing or just something that gotten taken away during a patch (which IMO needs to be put back in.)

Look at the bottom left-hand corner of your screen, it'll show who's just been killed.

So it was patched out? Any idea why?

I wondered why when I tried to play games with everyone a few days ago it came up with an error message saying the host's playlist data is out of date and they need to restart their game to get new playlist data. This is probably what they updated.

No it's not my first. And it wasn't always like that. When I first started playing the box popped up. But after a patch or two it stopped. I just can't imagine why they would patch out something so small. I guess to make it even more realistic?

Yes because that to me was how I could tell I killed someone. I'm sure if you asked around other people have noticed it as well.
