Unlike common belief, it isn't caused by pre-maturely shutting off your system. As the first time I had this issue, I never turned the game off. And the second time it happened to my pal, he also had never turned the game off.

Note: This fix will both restore your "Corrupt Data" and keep it from happening again!

To fix this issue you will need the following:
USB Flash Drive (or any other object to store data)
Internet Connection (Can be on PC)

Please follow the step-by-step exactly as I say.

1) Insert Flash Drive

2) Go to "Save Data" and copy ALL files from MW2 to the Flash Drive.
Make sure you copy the Save Game and Profile.

3) Remove Flash Drive and delete all game data from PS3.

4) Install all PS3 Updates.

5) Install all MW2 Updates.
(can find on PS3 Website)

6) Reinsert Flash Drive and copy data back into place.

7) Hope it worked!!
