Yes. Before the patch it was a one hit kill from 20 feet away. That's overpowered.

it shouldnt of been patched, they should have raised the amount of kills to unlock akimbo by alot (300+), that way the models wouldnt have been a problem at all, seeing as they are level 67 weapons, by the time you unlock akimbo, you would have enough xp to prestige (or near enough), which most people would have done, thus wouldnt see so many akimbo models out there, which was the problem to begin with

They shouldn't have been patched. These feckers wern't complaining when they were using an Mp40 with jug on it.
