(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I really dont understand whats the problem because my internet connection is good its 20mb and 1mb upload fiber optic, ive tried ethernet cable and wireless when i play online when im not host i get a 4 bar connection but when im host the rest of the team has a 1 bar connection, its never good for the rest of the team. Im sure there is something wrong here, Also all the matches 50% of the time i become host but crap connection, and i end up getting kicked anyway to resolve this ?

:(

No i dont use a lag switch noobs use that because they either cant get kills or they want to basically piss people off. Im sure its not my internet speed because my friends have the same type of connection but they can have a good host connection is this to do with the configuring of the ps3 internet connection setting, but when i try it on the router i make sure i select DMZ so no ports are being blocked and i assign a static ip to the ps3.

This happens to my mate all the time. Me and my mates reluctantly invite him sometimes. Not because we dont like him, he's sound lol just that his connection is TERRIBLE. The game makes him the host about 80% of the time and he gives us all 1 or 2 bars. Even with the 1 bar, he still doesnt get kicked out the game. Its a pain in the a'rse! :( Specially when we dont want to be mean and say "We ain't inviting you cos of your connection!" he just joins session and gets the host when a new match is starting. :( AWAY with Join Session!

That's mine and i never get any lag, so it must be download speed, not upload speed, i usually get host, and when i do, everyone is max bars, when i don't, im at 3 or 4 bars depending on how good/bad the host is.

Two things I did back in COD4 days that helped me become host more frequently and still works on MW2:

Putting PS3 in the DMZ
Using a Wired Internet Connection on PS3

i thought mine was bad but that is like you say "HORRIBLE"
show them our results and then say look at your results and
it may persuade them to get a new one

I did that and my new one should be coming within the next 9 days.

My cousin who also plays mw2 ive played with him and he has a 5mb download and a 200kbps upload and when he gets to be host most of the team has 3 to 4 bars and ive played with him and he has a really good connection, myn is great when im not host but worse when im host for some reason. Im sure its my router i have a Linksys WRT54G.

What do i change ive put my ps3 as a dmz ip, Enabled UPNP, Done port forwarding disabled all the firewall settings in router.

In addition to this i can find a game under 50ms ping in one try it finds game easily and makes me host just i cant keep it going for about 20 seconds the whole team has a 4 bar connection and isnt lagging then it all happens.
