Stun for 1 reason. Unlike flashbangs, stuns DON'T explode in midair. You throw a flashbang high enough and it'll blow up in the air, which means you can't blindly toss them across the map, which I love to do, because it's an easy way to find where they are (Toss them at key points and if you get a hitmarker you know there's at least 1 enemy there)

I've had this a few times when using the flashbangs. If you are not spot on with your throw they don't seem to work, where as the stun grenades work as long as you get them near your victim.
