BF is a trying to be slow paced, realistic shooter for the people who like that and Mw3 is fast paced and more of an arcade shooter. It is like comparing NFS to GT5 or Forza, it just can not be done. Im sorry if this thread is pointless but im tired of seeing people compare the games. They both appeal to different people and depending on what type of game you like depends on which you prefer.

Games like NFS are more arcade racers whereas Gt5 and forza are simulators. Its the same with Mw3 and BF3.

I agree with you that they are not the same game, and cannot be directly compared in that sense. But, since they are both FPS military shooters, as well as the best selling games, they will be compared. There is nothing you or I can do about it.

I agree.I am just tired of people saying "Mw3 sucks, battlefield is awesome" which is purely opinions of games which are not even out. And another thing is people comparing graphics. Yeah they are a nice plus but they are not everything. Take Cod4 for example. Compared to today's games the graphics suck but it is still an awesome game.

As much as a CoD fan that I am. When you look at the previous games of both series. This is the first singleplayer campaign for battlefield, and it's the 8th campaign for CoD. So its obvious CoD will have a better singleplayer in terms of story line. BF3 will top it in graphics tho... In terms of multiplayer? Battlefield is more realistic. No kill streaks, no nukes from out of nowhere, no dogs that kill you by touching you. Battlefield also has vehicles. CoD tho has it beat in terms of weapons variety, for the most part. So in my opinion the games can easily be compared. (As i just did above) I think MW3 will win best campaign but battlefield 3 is going to win best multiplayer. Have you even seen their multiplayer games on the PC. Those are pretty good as it is but now its going to PS3?

We have every right to compare them. The only thing I hate about it is when all of the people that suck at cod talk about how BF3 is gonna be SOO much better than MW3.

Yeah. . . they are going to be compared. Lol and you were actually comparing them in your post a little bit. But I do agree that people should know that COD is better off without all of the destructible environments and COD's current pace should not change.

Most of the people here are tired of COD(EVEN THO THEY BUY THEM EVERY YEAR) so they think their hatred of COD will make BF3 better than it is. So they usually hype up BF3 for petty reasons.

Why wouldn't you compare them? Despite your technical details they are similar. BF3 is trying to win fans over and majority of those fans are COD players. They are both shooters and the average gamer only sees that.

GT5 you must brake to get around a corner otherwise you crash because its realistic. Generally in NFS you can just go flat out without the need for brakes.
