Activision are bringing us their latest Modern warfare 3 action with Call of Duty XP '11, A 2 day event purely for the call of duty series.
Eager fans willing to pay the right price will get their hands on Fans will be able to get their hands on the Multiplayer mode a full two months before the game ships to retail.
This will be a live event taking place on a 12 acre compound in Los Angeles during the Labor Day long weekend (September 2nd - 3rd).
For eager fans willing to splash out on Tickets for Call of Duty XP '11 there are only 6,000 available, and will cost you $150 :wtf:
This isnt Just another way for activision to make money as they will be donating 100% of the ticket sales to The Call of Duty Endowment. The call of duty endowment is non profit organisation that helps supports veterans returning from their tours to transition back in to civilian life, find a job and establish careers. This is a huge publicity stunt for activision and for $150 you will get a lot....And i mean a lot !!

Not only will fans be able to play the Multiplayer of Mw3. There will also be chances to chill out with developers from Infinity Ward and Sledgehammer Games during multiple discussion panels.
If you think that was good The 12 acre compound will also contain a paintball arena based upon the 'Scrapyard' map featured in Modern Warfare 2 and ofcourse you will get a chance to do the pit run for some real life action.
Aswell as this there will be a replica burger town for your snacking needs and a Musuem and armory of the Call of duty series.
Hirshberg even hinted that zombies, found only in Treyarch's Call of Duty multiplayer modes, may be at the convention in some form as well.
One of the big reveals at Call of Duty XP 2011 will be full information on the confusing Call of Duty: Elite, the service Activision recently introduced that's stacking on top of Call of Duty. The elite service will clear up what you will get if you choose the premium bundle of the service :y:
If your unfortunate enough to not get a ticket do not fear as all of the news, world exclusives and action will be available through. Facebook, twitter and videos.
If you plan on watching the event online there will be live coverage so you wont miss out :y:
You may think this is awesome well whats next is huge. Microsoft (not sony :derp and Activision are partnering together to sponsor a 32-team bracket Call of Duty tournament with $1 million prize, thats right $1 million.
This will give you the chance to really show your skills.
If you think your not good enough to participate Activision is inviting every fan to. participate in regional qualifying rounds and promotions so no one should be left out.
To get a chance of playing in the tournament prior to the event by playing Call of Duty: Black Ops multiplayer at regional promotions and competitions
This is annoying since im guessing it will be US only and the rest of the world will miss out
Call of duty XP '11 seems sure to be one of the biggest gaming events of the year and this will be the publicity Activision need.
But has it gone too far?
Tickets go on sale July 19th so if your planning on attending get ready.
In my opinion no, this sounds sick and I would love to be able to go
wooaahh. that sounds awesome. if only i had that kinda money. and also a way to get where ever its going to be hosted, hotel, travel fare and such.
Its a 2 day event over the weekend but no information on where you will be staying has been said. the $150 i assume is just the entry fee :wtf:
So you will have to make your own travel arrangements.
More information will be announced leading up to the event
