(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I personally stopped buying Call of Duty after World at War, didn't think Activision were putting in effort in making the game but rather publicising the game for just money. I was a fan from Call of Duty 1-5, and now I just don't like how MW2 and BO turned out. Don't get me wrong, MW2 and BO have some good qualities.

Modern Warfare 3 is sounding like a good game to me, but the trailers aren't so appealing. I mean what happened to some covert missions (SAS in COD4, didn't really like MW2's TF141)? Maybe they are in there, just wasn't going to be fitting for trailers. Most interviews that the people of MW3 are conducting, they always repeat features that we already know of, they keep saying the same old things like it's going to be built up from COD4 but have similar engine like MW2 or something. Yes, I know we have to wait a few more weeks/months just to see or hear of new features, but nothing interesting has been revealed so far.

The campaign should have a similar mission from COD4, the famous sniper mission, "All Ghillied Up" and "One Shot, One Kill". I enjoyed those two missions as it required the player to stay in cover, move towards the end target without getting spotted and an assassination. The map and routes were really thought out. It had a great story in that mission, about Price and Captain MacMillan. And I found Captain MacMillan to be a great character to follow in the mission compared to other characters. Gaz as a support character in COD4 was really enjoyable as he always had something to say to the team and Captain Price. Since he died, it was hard to replace such character in MW2, but Ghost was a nice character to have in your team. He obviously was voiced by the same actor who voiced Gaz, but Ghost had a mysterious background and face that begged the question who he really is. Maybe a mission that tells the story of Ghost in MW3 would make the campaign an enjoyable experience. COD4's campaign was mostly covert, as a lot of the missions followed the SAS and required the player to complete missions without getting caught, but of course you get caught. MW2's campaign lost the secrecy and how missions were carried out, instead you had the Marine Corps handle most missions. But hey, that's my opinion on how MW3's campaign should be, more like COD4's.

Campaign Summary
-More missions like in COD4. A lot more covert missions, a longer campaign, and a deeper story.
-Bring back some memorable characters from COD4 and MW2 (Captain MacMillan, Ghost). I'd like if Captain Price and Soap who got picked up by Nikolai at the end of MW2 end up flying off to one person they can trust, Captain MacMillan.

Special Ops, isn't so special really. I mean it had a good idea in MW2. How you do missions and complete within a time limit or just complete the mission in general really had no long term goal, except getting trophies for your platinum. And what happened to F-Z missions, it ended on (E)cho? what a waste of disc space if you aren't going to complete the game mode. IW released map packs that just had multiplayer maps, unlike Treyarc releasing map packs that included a zombie map too. Would it have hurt IW to finish MW2's Spec Ops by releasing the missions in their map packs? That was one of the major reasons for me not purchasing MW2 map packs, £11 for just multiplayer maps isn't worth buying. MW3's Spec Ops features a survival game mode, hmmm like zombies I'd guess. Sounds cool? but when I saw that preview it really was an awful presentation. I mean, they had beginners playing it who didn't want to pick up guns off the floor, all we got to see was them using a handgun, not much of a preview. But it does sound interesting when you think of it like zombies. WaW Zombies was awesome, Treyarc really made a game mode that appealed to me. And bringing back zombies in BO made me want to play BO. Only thing I can say is if survival mode is anything like zombies, were you can buy stuff off walls, or have perk machines, or even upgraded weapons to make them stronger would be a nice addition. I'm not saying it should be exactly like zombies were its just a modern version of zombies without the zombies, I mean some similar attributes from zombies would make me want to dive into Spec Ops and play till the new COD is out.

Spec Ops Summary
-If you're going to start something, at least finish it.
-Include Spec Ops map additions in map packs
-Try to make it better then zombies, if not the same (effect wise)

Like all COD, I do enjoy multiplayer. But there are times in multiplayer when I really think to myself, "What a waste of disc space to have such feature". Like in BO, having a combat record is kind of cool but what's the point in having so much details of your statistics, I mean they could've used that disc space to improve gameplay or add some other stuff, like maybe a new gun. Having a long multiplayer is a good idea as it keeps the player busy for a while. Not much has been released for the features in multiplayer, only things that are not there have been confirmed not there. I personally found MW2's multiplayer fast paced compared to the other COD's released, but it lacked in restrictions like in BO. BO is a really slow game, including the gameplay, but BO had restrictions on things that can be done in game modes and how everything was thought out. Like MW2's scavenge every annoying thing or annoying perks like One Man Army, Commando, Last Stand, that made multiplayer an awful experience. BO was slow, had a lot of crashes, guns really were unbalanced, that made it's multiplayer an awful experience too.

Multiplayer Summary
-Fast loading for disc menu and multiplayer games like in COD4 and MW2, don't do what BO did.
-Don't add excessive features when you can improve gameplay or add extra guns, maps, perks, etc.

My final thoughts
-MAKE THE GAME FAST AT LOADING
-I like collecting trophies, so have good trophy structure and a lot to get. I don't like collecting online trophies like 'Reach Prestige 10 in Multiplayer', etc. what a waste of a trophy idea.
-Make Campaign enjoyable like COD4's
-Make Spec Ops enjoyable like zombies
-Have multiplayer load fast like MW2, and how MW2 has NAT Type OPEN for almost everyone unlike BO.
-Join/Invite system like MW2 was better then BO's Join/Invite system
-Make guns balanced like in MW2, as you can use any gun and you don't feel it to be overpowered, unlike some who say UMP is overpowered, I feel you can kill UMP users with Uzi or Vector or an LMG, or many other guns. That's why I found MW2's guns balanced compared to BO, you rarely see a killcam that doesn't have the killer use an AK or the Famas.
-I read they are making it more gun on gun. I seriously doubt it's gun on gun when you can knife someone and it's a one hit kill. I really hate that in every COD, how the knife kills with one swipe/lunge and gun takes so many bullets to kill and if player is not killed they heal and will take more bullets to kill. Knives should at least be a 2 hitter, as it will prevent measly deaths from panic knifers.
-I wish 'controllable killstreaks' end when you kill the user, as it seems logical as there's no one alive controlling it. In that case it makes higher killstreaks balanced or even not that hard to take out for beginners, as they can either (a) take out the killstreak physically using a destroyer or (b) kill the user.
-I seriously wish they lock lobbies that are near end, like 3-3 Search and Destroy games, or 7000-7000 Team Deathmatch game, and many other game modes too. I hate having loaded a map and then finding yourself in a 3-3 SND where you can't even spawn and get to watch your team play, and if they win it doesn't count as a win towards your stats, but if they lose it counts. It's not the win/loss that gets me, it's the fact that I loaded the map and can't play so I leave instead and take that loss on my record (that's how most of my losses are, my W/L ratio is terrible that's why that's the only statistic I don't recognise when I look at leaderboards or someone's record).
-Not every game is perfect, so glitches and exploits should be patched as soon as possible, so not many people can take advantage or damage the online experience for others. I personally don't mind people having find a glitch and taking advantage of it, I just hate finding that everyone's doing it and ruining it for a lot of people instead of a few. Like in zombies, I don't believe that people who have gone past round 50 are legit, they probably used a glitch of some sort. Solo gameplays don't count, because you could easily lie as it does not register onto the leaderboards. Some people high up on the leaderboards are legit, but are clouded by so many glitchers that it's hard to tell if they are legit.

i have seen abit of survival mode gameplay, see on round 1 the enemys are walking around like noobs, it reminded me of black ops combat training but every wave the difficulty rises, n u get killstreaks, so basically its combat training and zombies mix which looks boring

Yep that's a lot of writing from me, but I guessed starting a new thread would mean having put in my thoughts not copy&paste from someone. But my ideas isn't really to help the developers build their game, it's great if they took a slice of it. But mostly this is for the community, just wanted to express what needs to be said ^_^. It'll be nice to hear some ideas of what a call of duty should have, working from the roots, and having some innovation. And MW3 looks interesting to me, but it's not enough for me to go pre-order it yet. I thought people would have learnt their lesson from pre-ordering both MW2 and BO, excuses for a good game (it's decent, but does not deserve the title of the best game, maybe just the best selling game). I rather not pre-order till I know what I'm getting, and if I don't get enough push to pre-order, I guess I won't pre-order. I'd borrow it to test the game, if it's any good or has something I might like then maybe I'll purchase it. Activision don't deserve my money when they release a half-baked game.
