UK retail behemoth GAME’s indicated that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is on track to smash pre-orders set by its predecessor Co Black Ops back in 2010.

Speaking to MCV, Group MD Tom Devine said pre-orders for the military shooter are stacking up rather impressively, and teased that the retailer has some ‘surprises’ lined-up for early adopters.

"Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 pre-orders are already tracking significantly ahead of Call of Duty: Black Ops at the same time last year," he said.

"We know that the Call of Duty brand and franchise has the most amazing fan-base and we've got some great surprises lined up for those who pre-order with us. We're looking forward to an incredible launch on November 8th."

Things are looking pretty positive across the pond too, with GameStop recently saying that pre-orders for Modern Warfare 3 were tracking at a ‘record-setting pace.’

Not to be a fanboy but almost all of IW's games get more pre-orders.

Every CoD game will get more Pre-Orders then the one before. Every CoD Game will attract new players who will pre-order the next game aswell.

BTW: Black Ops had more pre-orders then MW2 so you can't tell wich creater will get more pre-orders.

I'm currently waiting for the Respawn Entertainment game. It will be better even we don't know anything abouth it. It has all the Head/Pro developers of IW(CoD1/CoD2/CoD4/MW2).

not to surprised at this. Im sure it will sell way more than black ops and then we can have people stop saying Black Ops is the best COD just because it sold more copies than any other COD game

Infinity Ward, Has always beat Treyarch because they are modern while Treyarch is oldschool with WW2 and Vietnam stuff, Its not as interesting.
