You can have matchmaking and ded servers at the same time you know. BF BC2 did that on consoles without a server list.

Reasons why ded servers work is no bottlenecks and you can pick what server you want. Of course the freedom means that the player base is cut up alot. So it goes against the system and looks complex when you first see it. Reason why on consoles your limited to what you can play. It easier for the matchmaking system to work.
And does not block other players from playing with each other.

So
Matchmaking on dedicated servers ?
Or Matchmaking on P2P and dedicated servers with a server list

What do i want....
Ded servers with matchmaking for consoles. Or a full beta which tests the net code which gives them time to change the game so it runs better or multi host P2P

Best system is sadly
Ded servers that are limited in what they run with a server list and matchmaking system on top.

Already ded servers on consoles.........
Your stats are ded servers
Your sign in also ded servers Winky Winky

Problem is your a bit confused......ded servers does not mean no matchmaking , look at BF BC2 Winky Winky
That ded servers with matchmaking

Ded servers does not need to have a server list for it to be ded servers.

I like matchmaking but i dislike how the game works at the end of the day. P2P without full scale stress testing e.g beta always going to end up with a laggy mess. Can't predict networks in a lab without real data. Shame they could fix it if they had a beta for 3 months. or couple of weeks. Or moved to a new P2P system say multi host P2P with a beta.
End of the day most players i doubt know what lag is or P2P or how it effects your score soo much.

I did play waw on PC but i didn't know what ded servers was at the time, now i know.

dedi servers aslong as the maker can keep them up and running smooth with no lag, if they cant match making would be the better option

Dedicated Servers no doubt. It would pretty much eliminate Most of the bullshit of CoD. Still wonder why the **** they don't have any yet. Not like they're hurting for money, they make millions on the first day.
