Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 has already seen new special accessories being made available to enhance your experience. Activision has now unveiled a new set of gaming glasses which should help add an upper hand when playing the game.

Activision have already showed us their new Turtle Beach range, offering a MW3 branded headset. and now Activision has teamed up with Gunnar Optics to offer this new Call of Duty eyewear. The new specs actually look like a normal pair of standard sunglasses but they have been specially designed to aid your eyes during the action of gameplay. As any online gamers will know, being able to use your eyes effectively in a game is a hugely important to being successful at the game with a split second at times being the difference between getting the kill or being killed.

T3 has said that these gaming glasses

“create a more comfortable and rich visual experience, improving a gamers’ visual efficiency, endurance, and recovery, while combating eye fatigue during extending hours of gaming”.

Key features of GUNNAR Optiks Advance Gaming Eyewear:

• Minimizes Eye Fatigue - Lens geometry and tint reduces visual stress and dry eyes

• Reduces Glare - Lens coatings and material reduces glare and improves visual focus

• Improves Focus - Amber lens tint and geometry help your eyes focus more naturally improving comfort and protecting against fatigue

These are features that these new glasses offer. Coming in at a cost of $99 a pair, will they truly be worth it?
Every year as a new COD comes out, so does a special edition version of the game. With Mw2 we saw night vision goggles, with black ops a remote control car.
Maybe these could be what's hidden in the special edition of this game?

They will be available to pre-order early September from best buy.

No one knows as of yet if these glasses will feature 3D effect, or if they are just plain sun glasses used for gaming, since Black Ops featured 3D support its not been confirmed if mw3 will or not.

I don't see many gamers rushing out to buy a pair of these, will they actually help you or not?
I for one would find them annoying as I don't normally where glasses.

What do you think of these?? Smile

Unless you go blind when you're 40. People don't realize the damage caused from sitting 3 feet from a 32 in. TV.
They can help your eyes over time if you're a heavy gamer, reduce eye strain, and reduce long term effects. There are other options out there though, and probably cheaper.
