A now-removed YouTube video has allegedly given us more details on what to expect in Modern Warfare 3's multiplayer mode. The video, which was taken down swiftly by an Activision copyright claim, reportedly shows the build that will be showcased during next month's Call of Duty XP event.
Screenshots of the video are all that remain, but we can still see a new Bomb mode in addition to that old standby, Team Deathmatch. The video also revealed that the player cap on some of the maps is now 32 instead of the 18-player limit in previous games.
Also shown in the video are the names of some of Modern Warfare 3's multiplayer maps: Carbon, Coast, Dome, Exchange, Hardhat, Interchange, Lambeth, Meteora, Mogadishu, Paris, Plaza, Radar and Seatown. The number's one fewer than Black Ops' but it's very possible that these are not all of the multiplayer maps the final retail copy will ship with.
Activision's Call of Duty XP event will take place on September 2nd and 3rd in Los Angeles, California. The two-day fan event will play host to the global premiere of Modern Warfare 3's multiplayer through a US$ 1 million tournament.
