and no M240 in the menu.

Now the other possibility could be that they were still using the icons from MW2 since we all know they've been doing that.

my point was to prove that they are still using the icons from their old games, so "M240" could have been a filler pick-up icon for the PKP or MG36 or MK46

There are still loads to do and big things to change. In the XP interview with the MP guys they said "they are still making things all the way up to the week before release." Also they said there will be "DLC every month and not just maps." So that must mean perks, weapons and game modes.
