One of the things I tested when I was at CODXP was whether or not spawn tubing was still possible, or if there was a delay timer like in Black Ops. After testing twice, I can confirm that there is NO TIMER, thus making it theoretically possible to spawn tube. I only played on the Dome map, and I didn't figure out the spawns, so I didn't know where to shoot the tube, but it seems to be quite clear that it is very much possible to do.*Now unless IW decides to include a timer before the game is released (unlikely), I must say, I am kind of glad you can still spawn tube.
Now before you go bashing on me, hear me out a little.*
I am glad that spawn tubing is returning, mainly because it adds to another thing you can do in the game. In Black Ops, spawn tubing was possible with the China Lake for the first few weeks the game came out. It was patched in the third update. I personally think it should of stayed because not only did you have to practically shoot the extremely useless launcher almost perfectly, you also were countered by the enemy players potentially using Flak Jacket...not to mention you don't unlock the China Lake until level 48. In my time trying to spawn tube, I probably killed only a total of 20 people out of the ~100 games I played in Hardcore Search and Destroy. With the ability to spawn tube, it added something unique and fun to do when you were bored, and added another factor of the game to worry about. Personally, I find this to be an acceptable, balanced, and fun strategy to do. The satisfaction you get when you get a kill is pretty awesome.*
In MW2, yes. Spawn tubing, and noob tubing altogether, was incredibly cheap and unbalanced. there was no way to counter it, people could get unlimited ammo using OMA, and you could just switch to a normal Silenced UMP class after you were done noob tubing at the spawn. With these factors in mind, it is very safe to say noob tubing was incredibly cheap and unbalanced.
But now, because of the new measures implemented to balance noob tubing as a whole, I feel like spawtubing is a mildly effective, fun, and amusing strategy which I personally think should stay in the game as it adds another thing to do for a user who may be bored of typical gun on gun gameplay.*
Please be open minded and give your honest opinion on this. I'd love to hear what you all think of this.
Of course no one likes to be noob tubed, but let's all consider the benefits of it perhaps? I'll name one. We all hate Ghost in Black Ops, yes? You can take advantage of the fact that a Ghost user is vulnerable to explosives, and with the annoyance factor of noob tubing, go ahead and take a China Lake with Scavenger, and a grenade launcher attachment and blow them away >:]
now that we are talking about noob tubes
The first time I used one I always got killed(this was in MW2) in scrapyard I thought I could kill myself with it
Thought it exploded on contact then it bounce off an got a Direct impact kill then I started doing it the whole match.
ok one they have even stated just like with the camos and other things some stuff will change when the game comes out... so they could add the timer and likely will... i hope.. spawn tubing is one of the biggest noob things you can do... and like that one guy said it will be useless... they have decreased the damage of a noob tube... there for you might get hit markers if its not hit right and then you just wasted one... but like i said be a noob... ill be the one coming up behind ur ass with blast shield knifing you and you say bored of gun on gun game play well the whole fact that they have stated they are basing the game on gun on gun and nothing els... kinda seems like you need to play something els if you dont want gun on gun
The following 2 users groaned at realskillz for this awful post:
