(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Robert Bowling, Creative Strategist at Infinity Ward, has revealed a couple more details regarding character customization in Modern Warfare 3, and the game’s theater mode.
Firstly he revealed that Modern Warfare 3 will focus on gameplay customization more than charcter customization like in Black Ops:
”We don’t do any character customization, all our customization is focused on gameplay, loadouts, and weapon camos.”
He also mentioned that the theater mode, introduced in Black Ops, will be getting some enhancements in Modern Warfare 3:
”No dolphin diving, but there is theater mode in MW3 with enhancements (mostly how it runs so that it doesn’t impact framerate).”
EGM’s TAKE: Gameplay is a lot more important than character customization so this isn’t a major blow to fans.

I hope the PS3 gets better theater mode functionality, unlike with Black Ops

I don't see why Black Ops let us cycle though the character models, but it only changed depending on the map. I do agree that character customization is pretty useless in an FPS. As far as changing your clothing and what not, I feel that it impairs your ability to use stealth, (not camping), but if you're standing, and waiting in a dark room, wearing a bright orange outfit, it seems useless, compared to wearing camouflage.

Just my opinion, but I am psyched for Theater. I've always wished MW2 had one. :p

hmm if there is going to be theater mode, that means, there is going to be a reporting system like in black ops. i really hope there isnt though cause that just gives an excuse for all the babies out there to report u if u have a real good game, or if ur lagging real bad cause of a bad connection. lets just hope not cause way to many people abused that report button :dumb:
