Yea they have killed sound footsteps.

im glad they did this.. kinda unfair to be able to sound whore people just because you spent $100 on a good headset.. but then again it does add some irl aspect to the game

I hope they fix this. And you dont need a headset to sound hore.

umm when ever i turn up my sound all i hear is bullets, explosions.. and my own footsteps

It's stupid. I was able to hear footsteps through my tv before my headset and now it's like they ain't there! They might as well make the weapons silent so you don't hear someone shoot

It's not just the footsteps, its the game as a whole.My headset is 5.1 virtual surround and even up to the max volume I can't hear the proper game itself, on black ops I had to be below medium noise volume and that was still to loud.

Yea, I kinda liked being able to hear people around me. It made it easier if I was using a sniper and heard someone so I could quickly make a dash for it.
