Welcome to our Modern Warfare 3 Assault Rifle weapon guide! This is one of the five different categories of Primary Modern Warfare 3 Weapons. Over the course of this guide we will go over each and every Assault Rifle and their pros and cons to give you an idea which gun will be best for you!

Modern Warfare 3 Assault Rifles Overview

The Assault Rifle is the most common weapon type used in any Shooter game, the reason for this is that they are not only good damage dealers but they have strong accuracy, range, mobility, and ammo capacity.
Some weapon types such as the Sniper Rifle will have great Range and Damage but will lack in mobility and fire rate. You also have Light machine guns which deal heavy damage and have huge ammo capacity but suffer from longer reload times and poor accuracy.
These are all reasons why the Assault Rifle is the favorite for Modern Warfare 3, it utilizes traits from all the main aspects you’d look at when choosing a weapon. Still however, it may not be the gun type for you! Now we’re going to take a closer look at each gun itself if the Assault Rifle Category.

Modern Warfare 3 Assault Rifles 1-4 Unlocks

M4A1 – The first AR you unlock is the M4A1, this is a fully automatic weapon that has very high accuracy as well as great range, fire rate, and mobility. It is a bit lower in damage in comparison to some other ARs.
M16A4 – Next we have the M16, and this is a great weapon. One thing that turns people away from this is that it fires in three round bursts; however the M16 has higher accuracy than the M4, as well as higher damage and range, with fire rate and mobility being about the same. If you enjoy prefer three round bursts, definitely upgrade from the M4.
SCAR-L – Fully Automatic, and this weapon is basically a better M4. Similar accuracy and fire rate but has increased damage and range. The mobility is slightly lower, but should not be any reason not to upgrade from the M4. The M16 has slightly better Damage and Fire Rate, but it comes down to preference of the three round burst or automatic.
CM901 – Another Fully Automatic weapon, but I would suggest sticking with the SCAR or the M16. The CM has much higher damage then both the M16 and the SCAR, however it lacks in accuracy, range, fire rate, and mobility. If you find yourself in more close range situations you may want to switch over, but at that point you may want to consider a shotgun.

Modern Warfare 3 Assault Rifles 5-7 Unlocks

Type 95 – This is another three round burst weapon like the M16, however it is much different. It deals very high damage like the CM, however has slightly lower accuracy and range in comparison to the M16. The kicker here is the Fire Rate, the Type 95 has the highest fire rate of any Assault Right in Modern Warfare 3.
G36C – Fully automatic weapon, very similar to the SCAR but has lower accuracy whereas all other categories are about the same. I do not suggest using this weapon.
ACR 6.8 – Another fully automatic and unfortunately this one doesn’t differ much from the G36, it has the same accuracy (lower than the SCAR), but has much higher damage and slightly less fire rate. To me the SCAR and the ACR are about even, depends more on which you feel better using.

Modern Warfare 3 Assault Rifles 8-10 Unlocks

MK14 – This is the only Semi-Automatic Assault Rifle in Modern Warfare 3. This gun is great if you like the Semi-Automatic, it has massive damage, accuracy, and range. Obviously the fire rate is very low, so if you’re a good shot I’d recommend switching over to this.
AK-47 – We all know the AK, statistically it isn’t an amazing weapon, but it does its job as well as the SCAR and the ACR.
FAD – The final Assault Rifle is the FAD, unlocked at level 78. This one is a bit different than what we’ve seen. It has quite low damage and range, but has decent accuracy and a very high fire rate, just slightly lower than the Type 95.

There you have it! A look at each and every Assault Rifle in Modern Warfare 3, now it’s time to get out there and actually unlock all these and pick your favorite, for me, it will always be the SCAR for automatic and the M16 for three round bursts.

G36 has a higher rate of fire, bigger mag, looks cuter, and it kicks ass. This alone ruins your "guide".

Umm? Doesn't the ACR have better accuracy than the Scar-L?

Not really. The Scar has easier iron sights, more accuracy and the damage is the same not to mention the mags aren't MW2 small. I prefer the FAD or M14.

M16 sucks ass on this game. Worst than Blops M16

You should also take ammo into consideration for this to make it a bit more accurate but it's an alright guide, I like the ACR and M4

The M4 is better than the SCAR on all aspects: damage, ROF, reload time, and recoil. Please get your facts straight.

Use all of the guns to at least weapon level 20 before you decide to make an obviously biased guide on them.
I was all for it until I read about the G36 and the ACR. You forgot to include that with kick the ACR has absolutely no recoil so accuracy isn't an issue.

Other than that, A for Effort.
