(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Ok, so today I was trying to hack my clan tag on mw3 and found out a couple of things that I think might help us mod our clan tags..
Originally I thought the mw3 clan tag was located in GPAD0_MP but thats not true... I found this out when I put my clan tag to 1010 then I copied it to my computer, then I changed my clan tag to ++++ then put that on my computer...

When I opened up the GPAD0_MP on both gamesaves, looking for a change, i found none. That means the clan tag couldn't be on GPAD0_MP. So after that I started to look at all the other files on my 2 gamesaves, there was a lot to look through so I just tried to locate the file that had the clan tag on it, to do this I just replaced one file at a time (I brought up both game saves and I replaced one of the files from ++++ to 1010) I started with GPAD0_CM, then i loaded it to my ps3, I got and error, so I put the original file back in its place and moved on to GPAD0_SP, then replaced it, loaded it on ps3, no change. Then I went on to PARAM.PFD, replaced it, got an error. I noticed there were 2 types of PARAM's So i replaced them both, got another error.

Then I decided to only swich GPAD0_CM (because I got an error) and The 2 PARAM's, the loaded it onto my ps3, It worked  I went onto multiplayer and It worked =D...! My clan tag WAS ++++ now it is 1010. That concludes the clan tag is located in the one or both of the PARAMs and/or GPAD0_CM. I think its in GPAD0_CM, because it seems like the Params keep a "Record" of the other files, You must login or register to view this content. See how it has the name of a file then some jibberish, if you want to mod the clan tag you'd have to mod that also, I think :p sooo yeh thats just my info on the clan tag modding.

Oh and I noticed changes in these offsets of files, I didn;t get PARAM.SFO tho, there are changes but i didn't remember to list them.
PARAM.PFSad Awesome
Offset 2b0 - 310
offset 3c0 -3f0
OFFSET 5E0 - 5F0
OFFSET 7C00 - 7C10
OFFSET 7DB0-7DC0
OFFSET 7FA0 - 7FB0
---------------------------------------------------------------------
GPAD0_CM.PRF
OFFSET 40
OFFSET 240

If you have any questions, quote me, im not sure that i worded it right.
I could be mistaken, these are just the things I did.

Clan tag and title/emblembed your using is stored in the GPAD0_MP. The MP stands for multiplayer, just in case you didn't know. The reason why you didn't notice a change is because the file is encrypted, so you probably wouldn't notice a dramatic change. The fact is, the clang tag and everything else has been stored in the GPAD0_MP since Call of Duty 4. This game is basically the same game as MW2, which means they wouldn't have moved the place that the information was stored in. They just encrypted it. The MOTD is also stored in the GPAD0_MP.

You either copied it down wrong, or the PARAM checked to see if the file had been edited and set it back to it's old version. The PARAM has the ability to do that.

You'd have to find out the encryption keys, which are sony's, so there's like no chance you'll be able to decrypt it. :P
