I personally think they could be done better, and since the game is still buggy, you miss a lot of bashing with it and end up getting knifed, you also can get shot in through your shoes while ducking.

The new element of adding cracks to the shield also puts people who use riot shields at a disadvantage.

I was kinda hoping that they would let you shoot from the side of a riot shield, but I think it would be op in someway...

But I think when the knives are fixed (if it does get fixed) riot shield would be more powerful, but as of right now they are just used as a support, and barely get a positive KD or a 2KD depending on your team.

I find this combination best imo:

Secondary: Any duals
Tactical: C4
Perk 1: Sleight of hand pro
Perk 2: Hard line pro
Perk 3: Steady aim
Support package.

I played a game of team defender the other day with a riot shield guy, his class was this

Riot Shield
Akimbo FMG9

SOH Pro
Blast Shield
Steady Aim

I couldn't kill him. I would shoot at his shield constantly, I couldn't get his feet. When I would press the trigger to throw my semtex he would quickly switch to FMG9's with SOH pro and kill me. I would get the semtex off but he would never die by it because of blast shield. It pissed me off so much but it's actually pretty smart because what do most people do when they see a riot shield? Pull out a semtex or flash or stun or some other type of grenade.

Riot Shields should just be removed. I mean, who doesn't hate seeing a Riot Shield guy sprint up your ass while you desperately fail to kill them?

They're sick! Only if you have Melee proficiency on.
