After CoD4, i made it my point to go out and buy the "R700". $600 and a backround check later, i toted home Remington's 700 BDL Custom. Lightweight stock, chambered in the same round as the game .308. Anyways, here they are.

I have the varaent M24 in a Savage 5r and I can personally say that the effective range of this weapon is about 1200-1500 yards. The MSR is very very nice and is way way to pricey Im sure the price would be around 4-10 thousand. they are somewhat more for the target shooting and some special forces MIGHT use it. The RSASS I havent herd much of but Im sure its a hell of a weapon.
I have a r700 in a 7mm for deer. I would like to see your setup.
