The Striker is best overall.

Some things you should know:
Extended Mags gives 50% more pellets.
Striker - 6 pellets [9] (25-15 dmg)
Spas-12 - 8 pellets [12] (25-5 dmg)
KSG-12 - 6 pellets [9] (28-15 dmg)
USAS - 6 pellets [9] (25-5 dmg)
Models - 8 pellets [Doesn't have EM] (30-20 dmg)
AA-12 - 8 pellets [12] (15-5 dmg)



I think they balanced out the shotguns somewhat pretty well..

The best shotgun hands down is Striker. The best pump shotgun is the Spas with the right setup. I have 3 golden shotguns and I know what I'm talking about.

IF i need to grind to make some good it not worth using
I have played around with the KSG but still has the same problem as the spas 12 :/

They balanced the shotgun group well but compared to the other guns not so well

They need to buff the damage done at close range so it always a one hit kill
Add more range to the shotguns so they can challenge ARs and SMGs

Why use a shotgun when a SMG has more range ?
Hell even secondary's are better >_>

I like the incentive of grinding it though. You get the more committed people using a shotgun.
With the correct setup, a majority of your kills will be OHK's with the Spas.



Yeah an SMG has more range. Shotguns do OHK. I've been through hell trying to gold the KSG-12, the Spas-12 and the Models. The Striker.. Not so much.
The damage is fine for all the shotguns. It's just the user.

Anywho.......what gold shotguns do you have ?

My first gun I got golden, was the KSG-12. I went through hell to do that, really. I had to rapid fire with it to make it at least a little more effective.
As of now, I have the Models, the Spas, and the Striker golden.
I will tell you, that the Striker is the best. Shotguns in MW3 are really just for the fun. I can pull out an MP7 and do a hell lot better if I wanted to.
I my highest rank for Buckshot accolade was about 45, and my accuracy was 40%. Then I started to use regular guns and found out how easy it was to do well.

To max out the strikers power use range proficiency and extended mags. Oh and I like the striker.

Well half a game 10-30 with 19 assists

Sad shotguns are so weak vs say smgs
Your right about them being for fun now like the riot sheild is.
