Here's the thing, in MW2 the other guns in MW2 were also just as good as the Famas, all the ARs were pretty much all the same. In MW3 it's not like that, that's why the Type95 stands out in MW3 and the Famas didn't.
Rapid Fire only makes the bursts shoot faster,it doesn't make the time in between bursts faster so it essentially makes people spray and pray more so removing that attachment wouldn't be a big deal. It's like tose Barrett sprayers vs Bolt Action.
Also ACR/Scar are used more than Type 95. Scar, ACR, PP90M1, CM901, G36, MP7 are just as deadly as Type 95 and all are used pretty equally on the PS3 side at least. Those other guns allow you to spray while the Type 95 rewards accuracy and as shit as connections can be an ACR/Scar or damn near any SMG will out gun an average Type 95 user with the lag in the game.
I've always been against gun nerfs especially burst weapons. People blame connection, "camping" and whatever excuse they use for situations they died and it's terrible. There are always guns and perks that people who are good at a game can make look even more beastly than they are but rarely do people feel they're outplayed,they always wanna find some excuse to justify deaths and the "gun is overpowered" argument is so easy to use. If more people start using MP7 with rapid fire I can guarantee it will be the next OP gun.
COD is full of excuses. There are guys with .60 k/d who will blame campers, OP guns, etc when the numbers show they suck.
And yes MW2 had lots of beast guns but the UMP stood out,you know why? It was the most used gun so regardless of how good the other guns were, people would rather bitch about what is most used/what kills them most.
