That's precisely what it does. If you hear a predator just whip that thing out and don't give that little noob the kill he's been camping for. :p
It's also great for HQ, just put that baby in the HQ and help you and your teammates survive all of those grenades.

Yep it does work against a predator and maybe an AC-130 I'm not for sure though. And if it does it probably only takes one shot from the AC-130 and then it's useless.
