Yeah, different gun classes have different leveling speeds and different attachment/camo unlock levels. Also have different "max proficiency" levels. Snipers are at 24 or 25, for example.

Level 31 for gold. But the 'max proficiency' challenge is finished at 24-25.

It changes for classes. For Assault Rifles its 30, and 29 for everything else I think (not really if its 29 for every thing else).
