For those of you who do not know what the Extended Mag glitch is, it is a glitch which occurs when you add Extended Mags to a shotgun, a normal shotgun shoots 8 pellets from one round however with the Extended Mags perk,12 pellets get shot out, this increases the damage done and can make some shotguns over powered.

It was recently confirmed that this glitch will be addressed thanks to Creative Strategist at Infinity Ward on Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Robert Bowling.

Shotguns should overpower an assult rifle at short range. Thats what they are made for....to be powerful up close but have no range. I see no big deal with the shotguns.

Perhaps I haven't used shotguns enough.. but I'd say their underpowered.

You shouldn't have to play with a gun for 3 hours before it becomes decent by unlocking some proficiency.... if they nerf proficiencies, they should boost the gun's stock power.

Spas12 rate of fire is wayyyy tooo slowwwwww. Give me back my spas from black ops!

Spas-12 Have you guys used that shit, Sometimes 3-4 Hit markers on Hardcore. Its terrible! they need to sort that out

i havent really used the shotguns enough to know if they are under or over powerd. i ussually stick with SMGs or assault riffles

I never use shotguns, because normally u can only use them as normal weapon and i want a second weapon for shotgun : overkill.
But i never play with it.

the fudge? Shotguns are useless if you havent range or damge on them. And whats the problem with extended mags? They are only usefull on the AA-12 or the Striker and the striker takes alot of time to reload and on long-medium range you are allways screwed. But hey dont nerf the FMG9 akimbo that every 1 can use and is a secondary.

I agree never had a problem with shotguns it's kind of annoying when i get killed by them but, WHAT YA GONNA DO?
FMG akimbo's way to strong I use them and god are they way to strong. Clear whole rooms in seconds.

I swear if they ruin my Striker I'll kill 'em. It took me hours of play time to make the Striker decent. It's the gun I have the most kills with, the highest KD, and the most fun playing with. If they get rid of the extended mag "glitch," what's the point in using the shotguns? They'll suck all over again. People think the Striker's is overpowered, but when you really use it, you're like, damn, n it's not. It cannot compare to a ****** hip firing his sub machine gun from 20 feet away, or the Type 95, some how killing me in one burst through a wall. Leave it as is. I even tried using the Spas, man does it suck. I legitimately got 4 hitmarkers from point blank range, not good.
