Here is what I've unlocked in order of value to me:
1. MP7 - High level and has the lowest recoil of all the submachine guns. Silencer + Extended mags!
2. MSR - You could argue that this is basically the L118, but it does move / aim faster. My favorite sniper by far.
3. AK-47 - Excellent range and damage. Let's face it you're either awesome with the AK or you suck.
4. Assassin - Maybe I shouldn't have done this one since it's unlocked around level 30.

I will have 2 more tokens to be used for equipment unlocks and haven't decided what they will be.

Even with specialist if the perk isn't unlocked you can't choose it until it is. Therefore it would take u 7 kills to get it and when you die you would have to restart. I unlocked the MP7 as well and it is on 2 or 3 of my classes right now but it gets boring to use so I switch it up often. I like the p90 just as good now which you unlock somewhat early. I will Always have a claymore on every class though so it is much more useful and benefitial. The only perk that you unlock to late is dead silence ( that I can remember ). I wouldn't use a token on anythinf you can unlock before level 40. Just my opinion...

To answer your question, Pro perks do not carry over. You have to unlock pro with every prestige.

I do like the idea of unlocking more perks though. I use specialist a lot. I haven't used the claymore very much. Perhaps, I should try it out before I prestige again.

I will say that unless you have extra tokens lying around unlocking more than 1-2 extra custom classes is a waste of a token. There is really no need for more than 6 classes when majority of things you want to put in there aren't unlock til later...

I used an unlock token on FAD, ACR, Assassin and P90.... Unlocked Assassin since it takes like 3-4 games to get it pro so I get my "Im playing alone with terrible players" class.

I will agree on the AK47 opinion as I suck with it. I owned with it in BO and I just knew I was going to make it my gun in MW3 but I sucked with it. The bounce pisses me of not the recoil. Although I may try it again.

Msr = Gay.
Assassin = Gay.
Type95 = Gay.

I unlocked Ak-47 and Stinger. Over 5k kills with the AK =D

Striker
Tactical Insertion - NOT for boosting but it helps a lot in Domination on small maps like Dome, Mission, Underground, place it down at B or the middle flag.
Steady Aim

I used one on:

-P90
-Tac Insertion (Not for boosting, but it does help a lot in all gamemodes)
-MSR

I'm planning on using one on the AK47 (I own with that), the Stinger and eventually the Striker. But I might not prestige again when I get 4th, so...

I would never use it on assassin as its so easy to get to rank 27 it's not worth wasting a token, I've used one on mp7 and one on dead silence, it's easy to get pro and it's soo useful for S&
