I've been trying to do it but it doesn't work at all. It would make sense that only assault killstreaks stack but why would they confirm that on IGN if it is false information.. Or maybe I'm doing something wrong?

I'm pretty sure it doesn't work. My mate tried it a while back, and we specifically tried it to see if he'd get a kills for every 2 assists, and he didn't.

It doesn't work. Not that you need hardline for the support point streaks anyways. You're not on any form of killstreak with that load out.

this is why you should not listen to nor watch IGN videos.

U get assists(20pts) every time someone kills a person u tagged, but it doesnt go towards ur kill streak. But, if u hit someone with a flash grenade it counts.
