Post: IW has taken a step back in the Call of duty series

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); First and foremost I am not against Mw3, I like it very much and I love some of the new aspects IW brought in. However when I play this game it feels too familiar. The reason why a lot of people didn't like Black Ops was becaus it was something different, the cod community wasn't ready for a change like that, so they raged at the game. IW really just packaged up a bit of Mw2 and a bit of cod 4 and packaged it into Mw3. treyarch took a step forward, and IW took a step back.

What iW has to do is make a complete new engine. Base it off the cod 4 engine, but completely remodel it. One of the main reasons Mw3 feels like playing Mw2 is because they play off of almost the exact same engine. I would like it if not only did IW take aspects from their games, but take it from treyarchs as well. I know they have to some extent but..... It would be more beneficial to try things out then too not.

Next off, they really need to rethink how the game should play. In Mw2 when someone camped, I knew I could easily pick them off in the open. But in MW3, the maps are to tight with too many corners, If I were to try and pick him Off i would likely get killed. Bring Maps back like wasteland and afgan, I enjoyed those maps very much and campers weren't much of a threat to me, it was almost stupid the camp on maps like these.

For the love of god please fix the servers once and for all. I cant remember when there wasn't lag in my game, get's me killed all of the time.

Well that's my rant. I like Mw3 very much, but I find myself raging all of the time while playing it.:FU:

They should have followed at least one thing from black ops like when you aim down a flag in domination, it fades away to see what you are looking at.

MW3 is the repitition of mw2 flaws,glitches, black ops lag/hit detection/balance, sh*t spawns/hotfixes.
Cod4 was a good mix to the create-a-class, that's why golden guns are back.

The only problem i see with this post is about the engine. The IW engine is still based off the cod4 engine. Cod4 started the modern warfare games for CoD. Mw2 and MW3 are based off of that engine, just built upon it.

1. PS3 choppy mic
2. Spawns
3. Gun nerfs

I do not know about lag since I play with a group of people and we usually create the game

The game is good. The players ruin games and people complaining all the time ruin games. At the end of the day you'll keep playing so this is no different than talking about your girlfriend being annoying yet you won't leave her...

The maps aren't very good but it has little to do with camping. It's stil supposed to be a location. You can't have a football field with nothing in between. Camping especially extreme camping is annoying. However complaining and bitching about camping is a loser mentality. I play Ground War because a lot less people camp in comparison to TDM or HC modes. I don't see why people expect every situation to be some fair 1v1 situation out in the open.

There are good COD players and bad COD players. Guns, campers, rushers, perks,secondaries doesn't change that.

There are rushers who can go 50-5 and there are campers who can go 50-5. There are campers who can go 8-20 and there are rushers who can go 8-20.

COD community just has this "its the other guy's fault" complex. If a guy was behind cover when he killed you he's a camper. If a guy rushes you then itsonly because he had "overpowered" weapons. Also UAV allows people to camp or appear to camp more than people notice.

If you have an Advanced UAV and can see two enemies coming at you you might back up get behind cover and finish them. In their killcam they see it as you camping.

Posted this in another thread but everyone seemed to ignore it...so re-post incoming.

I don't understand how anyone can prefer this game over Black Ops. CoD has literally taken 10 steps backwards since last year. Gone is the balance and in its place are all the things that made MW2 stupid. HB sensors are back, portable UAVS, the maps are all bland, cluttered, making it almost impossible to differentiate between them. Deathstreaks are back and have gotten nastier with Dead Man's hand. Lag compensation has literally broken the game far worse than OMA/DC/Tubes ever could have. Support packages has let every retard get a killstreak no matter how often they have died. I thought the whole purpose of killstreaks were that you had to get kills without dying? That must have all changed when CoD decided the little squeakers are their primary focus. More than half of the guns have already been in MW2. The sound quality has gotten worse than BOPs making it difficult to hear footsteps even with a headset. The mics sound like pure shit; it's as if everyone is trying to talk in a wind tunnel. Biggest cash in everyone and all you sheep are eating it up.

Had MW3 come out before BLOPs, I would not be so critical of it, but after all Treyarch has accomplished it really is so disappointing so see how far the series has fallen. I really want to like the game, but its pretty obvious that IW is trying their hardest to make people rage; it's literally as if they are trolling us.

For all you IW dick-riders please give a valid reason to how MW3 or even MW2 is superior to BLOPs.

True and since they pretty much use Id's old engine. Those of you who aren't really familiar with them, they are the creators of Doom and Quake. Two of the best series of all time (recently released Rage with positive feedback) . So back to topic like I was saying, I wouldn't be surprised if Infinityward were too use the Id Tech engine 5 that was used in Rage. It is a beauty, I'm just saying.
