thing about mw3 if u kill some1 they will spawn near you...
mw3 makes it like that so its harder for people to get their killstreaks and easier for noobs to get a easy kill lol..
it all depends what game mode you play. if you play demolition they will spawn at their bomb and giv you distance between u and the person u just killed if ur on ur side.. and the hitmarkers at really laggy especially on theater mode. psn is getting laggy more and more every day because of people who has shit internet.. especially arabs, ther connection ruins the game for eveyr1 else..
only if they seperate the servers between arabs and us/uk, ps3 will be like xbox "NO LAG" lol..

This has happened to me 2 times. Also antoehr bull$hit glitch that happened to be was i stuck someone and didnt even get an assist just a hitmarker

Maybe the Assist kill was his second kill maybe he shot your and you didn't die then he killed 2 people then he kills you at the same time giving him the kill + and assist kill which sometimes counts as a kill.

this happened on black ops where you knifed the dead body after you killed him.. but that sounds like a rare glitch.

its something to do with the killstreaks that use the laptop because i joined my mates game he got a moab then i called my reaper with 5 seconds before the moabs was called in, and i got out of the laptop with just my secondary and no one could kill me i was just running around killing people
