I had the same problem when starting off, I'll give you a nice set up.

Primary: KSG 12 (Obviously) lol
Secondary: FMG9 or MP9 you'll want to use a gun that will win the battle if you know the KSG 12 doesn't stand a chance. You can use any secondary you're comfortable with.

Extreme Conditioning: You don't necessarily need it, it all comes down to preference.
Assassin: it's a must because if they get a UAV you're screwed because you will get outplayed by virtually any gun so you'll have to flank them.
Steady Aim: you'll want to hipfire a lot more because it saves crucial seconds, and if there are two enemies you won't be able to aim down the sights fast enough to get both of them.

Also, just stick to close quarter battles where you'll have the upper hand. Don't just run straight down the map because chances are you will get killed. I'm personally not going to grind to get this gun maxed out this prestige, but next because I'm 9th so when I'm 10th I don't have to worry about losing it again.

Also run specialist: Sleight of hand as your first and the rest doesn't matter. Then you're set... Actually put dead silence as your second perk because you'll want to sneak behind the enemy if they hear you they'll just spray you down before you can even take a shot.

I think he goes a little more in depth, so watch the video again and good luck leveling up that KSG 12. It'll make you want to rip your hair out sometimes, believe me lol.
