So I decided to ask my mate what size his was and he said his was 208mb and this got me wondering so I deleted the patch and installed it again now its 21mb the original size. So do any you guys have an idea where all the extra mb is coming from?

i deleted it and it went to 21 mb
then i went to my theater, and it says theres nothing
"Play online to put your recent games in the theater."

which brings me to the point someone said earlier this week

the theater is saved in the patch!

i then played a 5:24 match. and the patch went from 21 mb to 23 mb.

which can approximately mean 2.7 minutes of gameplay = 1 mb. (this may be wrong, since it might depend on alot of other factors)

however, this might be useful in case you feel like the game is "laggy" or "slow". o.0
maybe deleting all that extra theater mode stuff will make the game flow smoother

theater is saved on console its been long known

Games from theater are saved to your hard drive (in the mw3 patch).

That might explain the lag..

Thanks for cutting that down, I've now realized that myself. Its pretty stupid to be fair I think ill be turning my gamerecording off from now on.

Yeah I never play with theater recording for this reason.

I've played with theater recording both on and off, there is no noticeable difference.
