(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I had a twitter request to help someone on their NAT so I figured this is a good chance to help others! Keep in mind you'll need to select the game(s) you want to open the ports for. This method works for both PS3 & Xbox 360! Below I've included a list of the MW3 ports

PS3 & Xbox Ports to forward:
TCP: 3074, 27014-27050

UDP: 3074, 27000-27030

Misc Tips:

Finding the IP of your router/modem on Windows:
1) Start --> Run --> CMD
2) In CMD command prompt type "ipconfig/all" (without quotes) and press enter
3) A bunch of mumbo jumbo comes up, but you're looking for the numbers next to Default Gateway. It should read something like this 192.168.1.1
4) open your internet browser and type in the default gateway IP
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});

Basically it works as mw2 opens all the ports needed for Cod and for some reason guarantees a open nat type if done as per the tut above

My MW2 disk broke 2 weeks before MW3 launch

So do you know if its possible to have multiple IP-addresses into a DMZ?

Well you can have each PS3 use the same static IP port to connect through and as a result both are in the DMZ... the only problem you'll run into is if you run both consoles at the same time, they're going to fight for the port and you'll have problems. There is not really a great way to resolve this. one gets open/free movement of the packets and one will have to deal with a slow down... Sorry. :|

WTF?

Make sure you're opening the ports for the specific games. you'll notice on portforward's website the ports for MW2, blops and MW3 are all different.

Ports for the games:
MW2: TCP: 27014-27050 | UDP: 1500, 3005, 3101, 3478-4380, 27000-27030, 28960
Black Ops: TCP: 3074, 27014-27050 | UDP: 3074, 3478-4380, 27000-27030
MW3: TCP: 3074, 27014-27050 | UDP: 3074, 27000-27030

You shouldn't have to do this. This is a very convoluted way to get an open NAT. If you make sure your ports are forwarding correctly then you should not have a problem.

Hopefully this all helps you sort out any issues you're still having. Any additional questions just let me know. :y:

I don't have this issue I was just trying to help him get up and running without touching his router a quick fix so to speak and it keeps the type open until you shutdown your router or reset.

I have a static ip for both my ps3 and Xbox and my ps3 is in dmz the Xbox doesn't seam to ever get any restriction placed upon it with auto settings, I posted a guide for putting a ps3 in dmz a while ago to assist a different user yours is more comprehensive than mine ever was so thanks

gotcha. Understandable changing settings in the router seems like a scary thing to some, but hopefully this tutorial is straight forward enough to make people feel comfortable with messing with the settings. Worst case, you can always restore the default settings.

Have you tried logging into the router to see what's going on? There is lots of information that can help you sort out this problem. you may want to confirm that all the correct ports are open for the respective games. The video gives you a tutorial on how to make the changes.

Are you connecting wirelessly to your router or through a wired connection?

Here's a guide on DMZ - this guide works great for MW3, but for other games you'll have to use this or get the ports for that specific game.
You must login or register to view this content.

I boost alot and did that for my first PS3.. Problem is that my 1st is OPEN and my 2nd is moderate I don't know what to do ? Shall I just do the DMZ thingy for the 1st and open ports to get the second on OPEN too ?
