You know how on the dew xp stuff, you could only get 24 hours of double xp? I think that they are checking how much double xp you have and if you have over that cap limit they ban and reset you.

a simple search on the servers to see who has -tokens would show up anyone whop has done the glitch.

And to do more in depth search, they could filter through and find people with lots of double xp or weapon xp.
The most double weapon xp you could have is like 28 hours max, so anyone with several days of it etc would flag up

Robert explained on twitter that they have stats for every single thing you've ever done on MW3, the token glitch would obviously make one of those stats look abnormal to a normal set of stats.
