it was possible to change some prameter in the gamesave in order to obtain things such as godmode or inf ammo

Yes it is possible to mod ANY savegame, but it might be hard or then very easy, depends on the security.

Well i dont know anything about PS3, but i guess it would be the same like in XBOX.

So open the save in Hex Editor and look the savegame thought, if there is DVARs you can change the values, but after that you must fix the Checksum.
