INFORMATION SUBJECT TO CHANGE!
I can only assure that this information is 90% correct, as right now there is no official patch notes.
(Edit: Official Xbox Notes were released, see below. Official Playstation notes, are yet to be seen.)

A new patch as graced both the Xbox 360 and the Playstation 3 this morning.

The patch hit for Xbox users around 5:45 AM EST US this morning, which would be 2:45AM PST US.

Playstation users patch was supposed to drop at 2AM PST US time (5AM EST US Time) according to Robert Bowlings Twitter post seen here - You must login or register to view this content.
(Authors note: Can't confirm if patch did or did not drop for PS3, don't play MP games on the PS3.)
(Edit: PS3 Patch IS out.)

In said patch is the following:

Xbox:


  • EMERGENCY Fix for DLC Maps Licensing problem, where only the Premium account on the Xbox could play the new maps. All accounts on the Xbox will now be able to play DLC maps, PROVIDED a Premium account downloaded and licensed the maps to that console.

Playstation 3:

    [*=left]Weapon Balances.

For the Playstation 3 this is patch version 1.0.8. A version which has been on the Xbox 360 since last month.

The version that the Xbox just currently received is patch version 1.0.9. This patch version 1.0.9 is currently in certification at Sony for Playstation users.The reason for the delay between patch 1.0.7 -1.0.8 for the Playstation 3 is due to exclusive updates in the patch for Playstation users according to Bowling. Same goes for 1.0.9. 1.0.9 should be out on the Playstation 3 within a few weeks, hosting the same enhancements, fixes, and updates as stated above.

Xbox Players thoughts?
So Playstation users, does the game seem to have been improved for you all?

You have to be a lone wolf. I play constantly with clan and there are clan wars every second day, i met players from UK, France, Germany - all of them know the issue, but not You. I wonder if you even got the AX Pro's or just trolling around. This issue has been acknowledged by Acti Support so we don't have to talk about. Just face the fact. They are probably (not sure) not heard on tv sets, as the speakers are mostly mid range frequencies.

My headset is perfectly fine - no worries brother. Works perfectly fine on COD4 and MW2. Its just MW3 with sound problems. Either volume goes crazy loud which can harm your hearing (or headset/home cinema) or in game chat volume cuts off. Reported to Acti Support too. Again, no need to arque about that. If you don't have them problems, You just seems to be very lucky (which i don't belive as it is reported that it is happening on multiple audio output configurations/PS3 only).

Killstreaks, yes i didn't know they just dissapear when you reach the same one, but never used previous one. Sometimes i will end up with 2 Reapers which i can't use as the sky is overcrowded already and i will keep loosing the next ones i get. Also, there IS a problem with the REAPER killstreak jamming for the whole rest of the game, after one of them is used, the next earned by anyone else can't be used as the game thinks there is still one of them in the air (airspace too crowded). Reported to Acti support.

Just to let you know, framerate dropped again today once (4 hours session). Everytime it happens, host migrates after around 20 seconds of game being unplayable. Then we have host migration in place, and game skips frames for next 20 seconds - then its back to normal (which means lagtastic).

Thanks for answers brother, but don't troll/rant on me, i'm just telling what i see wrong or find any problems. Its not just me as i said, so don't be mad or something. We are all players, aren't we? Peace.

Not trying to troll you, just giving my honest opinion. I'm from the United States, so that may be the difference right there. I haven't had any lag issue's yet, and definitely nothing with the frame rate dropping off like you describe. Just because something's been "acknowledged" doesn't mean it's a problem. I do have the AX PRO's in fact, and I haven't had a single issue with them. Try turning down the volume on the main box and turn up the volume on your cord. The first thing I noticed when I downloaded the patch was how much clearer the chat was, and I never had a single issue.

I haven't had an issue with the reapers either, and my buddies and I use that killstreak ALL the time. Never once has it jammed up the air space. Only issue I've had with the reaper was having it stay permanently zoomed in for the duration of the reaper.

Like I said before, it seems as though people just like to complain on here. I'm not saying that's all you are doing, but I am saying that people need to take a step back and realize how much Infinity Ward is trying to fix the problems. How many patches have been released already since game launch? A lot. Whether or not they are all perfect isn't the point.

I wouldn't like to note that all my saved videos in my vault which had the "out of memory 7" error now load perfectly fine. That's a huge plus because I had a bunch of solid gameplays saved up.

I have the same issue with Shakal. Played for 30 minutes today (soo frustrating) and I got the framerate drop once. I'm from Canada, so I don't think it's a location problem. I didn't notice any difference in chat, but I usually mute people anyways so I can't really comment on that. Reapers have NOT stopped, but I've only gotten two or three while I was playing.

What I have noticed that I haven't before is that it takes longer to find games, and significantly longer to fetch my online profile and connect to online services (the messages that popped up on the MP main menu). I don't think it's a connection problem since it's only happened post-patch.

I can confirm something has been done to matchmaking, takes a lot longer to find games now and in one occasion left me in pre game lobby for several minutes. Even with 12 players game will sit with lobby for ages telling us "we need to find more players" when it is actually full. It wasn't happening before.

Yes the respawn has been changed and in my opinion has been f*ucked up (Xbox Player so had this change for ages), if you have 1 person in the enemy spawn or to close the whole enemy team spawn in your spawn and kill you from behind. Worse when you just respawn in yours and then about 4-5 enemies just spawn there behind you.
Another point on Dome if your behind the hummer with the rear end touching the wall (close to tank and underground area) watch your left side, as you can have enemies spawning right in the hole in the wall or behind the sand crates!

Greatly appreciate the info....I haven't played before the patch and I'm glad I know what I just downloaded. WOW nothing has been fixed except for the striker but they buffed up the other shotguns, interesting! =) Cheers!
