Here's the steps:

Step 1: Got Banned.
Step 2: Went to PSN XMB (Main Menu)
Step 3: Go to Game Data Utility Under "Game"
Step 4: Delete MW3 Patch
Step 5: Play MW3 and Update latest patch and you WON'T get reset

[WARNING: YOU MUST DO THIS METHOD WITHIN 20 MINUTES OF GETTING BANNED OR YOU WILL BE FULLY RESET]

If you did all these steps above you must be able to see your Rank still, KDR, WLR on [url]www.elite.callofduty.com/career[/url]

Me and 3 People did this recent and we didn't get reseted

e.x. If you were Rank #1314 on Sabo you will be back to #14141414 LAST until you get kills again.

i got banned in the middle of a game. instantly followed the steps from tonydurans video and got an entire stat reset. my other ps3 was in the same game and was also banned, but it didnt get stat reset. i deleted the data on both ps3s....so stat/rank reset has nothing to do with the data files

Wait so you can delete data on your PS3 to get a full stat reset?

Well, I did this. and a guy on #9 Wins didn't get reset, neither #16 and Me.

no, whatever IW gives you...you get. they deranked my main account and didnt derank my dier/friends account that is still 1st prestige. both had a 2 day ban. i deleted the data immediately to try this Tutorial out and it made no difference. after u get banned u can immediately check your account via ELITE and see what ur rank/stats will be when u get unbanned.

this is what happened to my account. check out the double xp time lol. its the same amount i earned from the Mountain Dew/Doritos promos. Also they left me 3 prestige tokens for the other CODs i prestiged in.
