Tacs are very useful. When rushing, you can just put one near the enemy spawn.

Also, they give second chances in the right situations. Suppose you see a few enemies around a corner on your minimap. Plant your tac at the corner, then jump out and spray at them. If you get killed, just spawn fast and jump out at them again (without putting your tac down). They will NOT expect it, and you will probably not get killed.

If you're a prestiger, I highly suggest unlocking the tactical insertion early, so you always have it through future prestiges.

I could see it being useful in very tactical situations (such as HQ, Demo, Sabo) but other then that, I don't see much use for it. Or at least I think so. I have yet to use it at all, well only when I play Infected.

And yes, placing it along a wall and rushing enemies is great as most do not expect that spawn and you get them all

For me its very good in the gamemode i always play Demolition putting it in the bomb sites to plant much faster.

With MW3's terrible spawns I can see why it's useful.

Just take them out of FFA. There is no need for them in FFA. It only encourages boosters.

In the previous cods i never bothered using it but in mw3 i find it useful, especially if you have quickdraw pro.. don`t really like waiting 10 seconds for it to plant.
And i mainly use it in ground war domination/demolition.

Plus i equip it with a javelin class and plant it down near good javelin spots on flag points/demo bomb sites. easy triples/multi kills :p

I wish it was like in Black Ops where you can cancel your tactical insertion, because you'll know someone will camp near it. Other than that it's useful

I think it is a good equipment when you know how to use it
