a headset doesnt make you a good player...... it just helps a little, back in the days of cod4 before i knew about headsets i used to go like 30k 2d etc using tv sound. since then tho all i generally use is a headset..... id say if you play alot of TDM/DOM then its maybe not a must for you since TDM can be a little hard to hear whats going on...but if you generally like FFA or SND then go for it!. I love my headset (X41s i want some A40s tho :p) i dnt think i could ever play without one now.

My kdr was 2.14 before i bought my headset. I have been pulling 3 or better the 2 weeks since. However, they are more beneficial for SND, FFA and regular boring tdm. Headsets won't make a 1kdr 2kdr and vice versa.

Personally I can't play without one, I have played with a headset since 2009 and it drastically improved my game. 2.80 KD MW3 3.00 BO 4.00 CoD4...CoD4 one being 2-3 years ago when I was a proper tryhard and the whole game wasn't filled with just noobs and snipers.

Usually listen to podcasts when I play and that's when I do my best. Only use my AX720s to talk to friends because I can't hear footsteps on this game

I play good with or without my headset on. I say a headset is only necessary if playing with your friends and trying to accomplish objective-based tasks.

I can play either way.. it mostly depends on the other team, and my team.

It's all coincidence, people who spend money for a headset tend to take their game a little more seriously.

As long as im not in a party with screaming newfags i can play well :dumb:
